For each 1 yard of old soil, till in 10 LBs of Veg Food and 5 LBs of Earthshine Biochar Blend. Mix everything together, then water it thoroughly. After 3 days, crops can be transplanted into the freshly amended soil. For best results, transplant using GreenGro Granular Plus Mycorrhizae.
For each 15 gallon pot, use two cups of Veg Food and 1 cup Earthshine. Mix in thoroughly and add water to irrigate.
Each individual ingredient is either sourced organically or produced organically in accordance with NOP guidelines for organic products. We are currently in the review process for issuing CDFA Organic Certifications on all our products in 2018.
The Water Conditioner is very concentrated; a very small amount is enough to adjust the Chlorine and Chloramine levels in your water. One 8 OZ bottle can treat up to 1000 gallons of water by simply pouring it into the water and allowing 3-5 minutes for the water conditioner to disperse. Gentle agitation of the water helps speed the process along.
Yes, all our products have a water savings component built into them. The biochar blend specifically holds water very well and feeds it to the plant as needed. Additionally, Mycorrhizae help the soil retain water, which it gives to the plant.
Both are great options, and it depends on if you are already planted or if you have bare soil. If you mix it into your soil, you can save time by having less frequent application dates. The plant will just need water and compost tea.
You should not use Mycorrhizae if your fertilizer has a phosphorous load above 12. Most chemical fertilizers have a high Phosphorous load and contain salt nutrients that will impede the growth of the biology.
There are very few all-natural green bud hardeners on the market. Most other bud hardeners on the market are chemically derived and are not suitable for high-quality organic cannabis production.
NPK numbers represent different aspects such as Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium. These numbers are typically more relevant in the chemical/synthetic fertilizer world than in organic production. In organic production, the NPK can change dramatically depending on the microbial community in the soil and the availability of the organic inputs.
For a 15 gallon plant, top dress 1 tablespoon of Veg Food or Bloom Food per week.
For a 200 gallon pot, it will vary depending on the size and life cycle of the plant. However, between 1 and 3 cups will be sufficient depending on your garden and environment.
It is hard to over fertilize with our Veg and Bloom, however, you can burn or choke out the roots if you apply 10x the recommended dose or more.
Biochar is a source of carbon derived from (in our case) wood, either soft wood or hard wood. The difference between charcoal and biochar is that charcoal is created under high heat and high pressure and has a quicker burn time. The biochar is heated slower over a longer time period under much less pressure. Because of this, Biochar has a more uniform carbon analysis with a lower ash content.
In our opinion, Biochar needs to be treated and fermented with the correct minerals and enzymes before it should be applied to the soil. We also believe in having a lower application rate per yard of soil than most Biochar companies recommend. We recommend an application of 2-3 % in your soil per year (between 5 and 10 LBs per yard maximum.)
The average pH of our fertilizers is between 6.6 and 6.8.
Yes, because chlorine and chloramines can harm or impede the growth of the biology in our products.
